Shaping up to get pregnant

List of vaccinations for women before pregnancy

Optimal health with no infections should be achieved before pregnancy. Attempting to get pregnant without immunity against viruses and germs is patently irresponsible not only for yourself but also for your baby. The list of vaccinations required by a man who wished to have child is as follows.
Td vaccine for adults – Tetanus, diphtheria (every 10 years)
You should be vaccinated every 10 years. It is recommended that you receive this vaccination 1 to 2 months before pregnancy. Vaccination during pregnancy is possible if necessary. If you come down with tetanus while getting pregnant, intrauterine fetal death rate increases to 60%.
MMR vaccine – Measles/ Mumps/ Rubella (MMR)
The MMR vaccination cannot be received when you’re pregnant. Make sure you receive it beforehand.
Cervical cancer vaccine (HPV vaccine)

Varicella vaccine
Varicella vaccine is a live attenuated vaccine. Therefore this vaccine must be avoided all together when pregnant. However, if a pregnant mother is going through life-threatening danger, it can be administered within 3 days after exposure to the virus. At any rate, varicella vaccine is recommended 3 months before pregnancy.
Hepatitis A vaccine

Hepatitis B vaccine

Influenza vaccine

Pneumococcal vaccine
You should be vaccinated when you are at a higher risk of pneumonia but are yet to be vaccinated. You should try for pregnancy a month after being vaccinated.

List of vaccinations for men before pregnancy

Optimal health with no infections should be achieved before pregnancy. Attempting to get pregnant without immunity against viruses and germs is patently irresponsible not only for yourself but also for your baby. The list of vaccinations required by a man who wished to have child is as follows.
Mumps
Mumps is one of the major causes that affect a man’s reproductive ability. 25% of men who suffered from rubella during puberty or before are at a risk of experiencing abnormal reproductive ability. However, the vaccine developed later helped men who suffered from it avoid such problems. Therefore, men who have a spouse planning to get pregnant must have their immunity thoroughly checked.
Measles

Rubella
Rubella is infectious. If you have rubella or have it transmitted to your wife when she’s pregnant, critical problems will be experienced by your unborn. It can be prevented through a simple vaccination procedure.
Varicella
Even if your spouse is yet to receive this vaccine, you must be vaccinated.
Tetanus

Hepatitis B and Hepatitis A
If you’ve ever been exposed to the risk of hepatitis, you must be vaccinated before pregnancy.
