When you’re pregnant or if you’re about to get pregnant, nutrition becomes your number 1 priority. Many of us haven’t been so interested in nutrition. This applies not only to the public but also to some doctors. We need to be more conscious of what and how we eat.
To the couples who are working to achieve natural pregnancy! You must be aware of the phrase ‘Let’s live well on quality foods.’ It sounds simple enough. You may feel like it’s something easy to do. Anybody can eat quality foods for a better life. But it’s actually easier said than done. You must be equipped with the basic knowledge of nutrition. It is not an option. Nothing can be more important than your knowledge of nutrition for a woman’s enhanced probability of pregnancy and for maintaining general health.
A fetus has no other option but to rely on the mother for nutritional intake. Medically speaking, it is parasitic to its mother. I know it doesn’t sound right. It is not a parasite but a parasitic human inside the womb. At any rate, the mother’s body should be supplied with enough nutrition to be delivered to the fetus even before it starts to grow inside her womb. Once you get pregnant, your body also becomes busy to consume nutrition. Mothers who have already experienced a lack of nutrition delivers a baby much deprived of nutrition even when they do their best to provide enough nutrition during pregnancy. This is because the cells of the mother’s body intake the nutrition for themselve, not for the baby. Let’s say, if the mother doesn’t desire to eat food and asks her fetus to take the nutrition inside her body, would that be possible? The answer is – of course not. That’s how the body works. It doesn’t regard the mother’s will or desire. A fetus is parasitic to its mother’s body and feeds on the excess nutrition left over by the cells of the mother.
Nothing could be closer to the truth than what is described above in comprehending nutrition during pregnancy. Expectant mothers must prepare for 3 months before they get pregnant by taking a mix of nutrients for their babies. You should understand how critical it is when a new life is about to be born. If you accidentally starve your fetus during this phase, something terrible may happen to it in the future. I’m not trying to scare you – it’s about you realizing the importance of nutrition.
