- ⓐ Basic vaccination includes the initial vaccination for DTaP (Diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis) and preventive vaccination for polio.
- ⓑ During this period, recommended vaccinations include Hib vaccine, Pneumococcus vaccine, and the initial vaccination of Rotavirus.
- ⓒ When you visit a hospital for vaccination, your baby will be checked on the development of his visual and auditory development along with the state of excretion.
Baby Health Basics
- ① If your baby’s nostrils are blocked frequently
- ⓐ A baby at the age of 2 months has a lot of nasal discharges. This is because they are very small and can be blocked easily. With the nose blocked, he will have difficulty in feeding and sleeping.
- ⓑ Drop a couple of saline solution into the nostrils if your baby finds it hard to breathe through the ear.
- ② It is important to keep your baby hygienic if she starts to sweat a lot.
- ⓐ When a baby sweats a lot, parents usually become concerned about their baby being naturally weak. Babies tend to sweat more than adults do, and are prone to prickly heats due to their sensitive skin.
- ⓑ When it comes to prickly heats, prevention is more important than treatment. Have your baby wear loose clothes, and wash sweaty areas with water. If the room temperature and humidity are higher, it is best to create a cooler environment. If the prickly heat worsens and turns into red ones with inflammation, it is best to have him diagnosed by a pediatrics specialist.
※ Caution for prickly heat powder
It is recommended not to use prickly heat powder. When it gets wet with sweat, it may further irritate the skin.
