"I-sarang"" will help create a society where children bring happiness
Domestic violence(DV) has a profound impact on the health of families, especially women and children. DV doesn't just mean physical violence or beatings. It can refer to any behavior that is done to control or dominate another person, including “threats, forcing unwanted sexual activity, controlling money (financial abuse), and preventing people from seeing family or friends.” A lot of women experience DV for the first time during pregnancy, and in families where DV already exists, pregnancy exacerbates it.
DV during pregnancy can cause you harm, which in turn, will have a negative impact on the fetus. Women who have experienced DV may experience adverse effects on their pregnancies due to the stress caused by physical and emotional violence, which may result in low-birth-weight babies or social/emotional problems as they grow.
If you are concerned or fearful about the safety of yourself or your child during pregnancy, help is available.
