Types of Delivery

There are two types of delivery; vaginal delivery and operative delivery. The vaginal delivery includes natural childbirth, induced labor and family-participated delivery

  • - Successful delivery brings about better health conditions for both the baby and mother.
  • - Higher satisfaction level than C-section.
  • - Risks of anesthesia can be avoided.
  • - Less pain and shorter recovery period after delivery.

  • - Less delivery expenses.
  • - It is safer than natural childbirth for both the mother and baby in risky situations such as the breech presentation or placenta praevia.
  • - You may deliver a baby on the day you'd like and there is no need for prolonged labor pain.
  • - Shorter time taken for delivery and no pain during operation.
Bad
  • - Some cases, where the C-section was unplanned and is immediately required due to unsuccessful natural delivery, may pose more risks than the planned one.
  • - Similar to ther normal operations, it has the risk of anesthesia after-effects, infection and bleeding.
  • - 2 to 4 more days of hospitalization is needed after delivery.
  • - The pain after the operation may hinder your movements and make recovery
  • - It takes even longer time to breast-feed a baby in a normal way.
  • - Costs more than natural childbirth.
